We are very proud to announce that Compton Acres have emerged above tough competition across the whole of Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and the rest of the South West, to win gold in the ‘Best Small Tourist Attraction’ category at the South West Tourism Awards. This award marks the most recent accolade for Compton Acres, which was recently honoured ‘Dorset Tourism Small Attraction of the Year’ at the Dorset Tourism Awards in November 2015.
With the addition of this gold award to their trophy case, Compton Acres is now one of the most prestigious tourist destinations in the South West. Bernard Merna, the owner of Compton Acres, has said:
“We are honoured that Compton Acres has been recognised by industry experts as one of the finest tourist attractions across the South West. I am proud to have played a role in shaping the development of these historic gardens to their award winning status. Big thanks should go to the dedicated team at Compton Acres. Without their constant hard work and dedication this award would not have been achievable.
However, we will not be resting on our laurels and will ensure that the gardens looks better than ever this year. We look forward to welcoming visitors in the months ahead when the gardens will be in full bloom and looking spectacular.”
