Group and Educational Visits
Compton Acres welcomes both school groups and organised visitor groups throughout the year. With more than 10 acres and five themed gardens, the site offers a rich outdoor setting for learning, exploration and shared experiences.
Educational Visits
Educational visits give pupils the chance to discover plants, habitats and garden design across a varied landscape, with opportunities to observe wildlife including birds, insects, foxes and lizards.
Groups can explore The Italian Gardens, Wooded Valley, Rock and Water Garden, Heather Garden and Japanese Garden, each offering different planting styles, features and viewpoints. During selected school holiday periods, Compton Acres runs a children’s challenge activity, and details can be provided when available.
Teachers are welcome to arrange a free planning visit in advance. Entry for teachers and helpers is free during educational visits, and complimentary maps are available on arrival. Free coach parking is available locally, and coach drivers receive a complimentary meal voucher for the café.
Educational rate for parties of 10 or more children or students: £3.95 per child/student.
Group Visits
Discounted group admission is available for pre-booked parties of 15 or more.

- Adult: £10.45
- Concession (seniors, students and disabled visitors): £9.45
Group and standard admission prices are reviewed together, with updated pricing applied from March.
Special Guided Tours
Discover the secrets of our gardens on an exclusive, interactive guided tour for groups of up to 20. Led by one of our experienced gardeners, you’ll explore the rich history, hidden corners, and fascinating stories behind the plants and landscapes. A perfect way to bring the gardens to life!
Guided tour fee: £50 per group (in addition to admission tickets).
